How many internships should I have before I graduate?

This is a question that almost every student I meet asks. My answer is and always will be, "as many as possible and gain as much experience as you can." I am not telling them to pick up every internship out there that they can get but try things and be selective at the same time. Most students do not know exactly what they want to do with their lives- and you can throw in alot of executives in that pool. What I am looking for are the students that will take an internship that peaks their interest and to try it. they may not like it but then they will know something they don't like and can check that off their list.
The shining moment will come when they obtain an internship and find out what they love.
